The old saying "Something Is Better Than Nothing" is putting it mildly. Most people believe that if they can't afford the high end products that there is no need to bother. That is wrong on so many levels. Buy the best you can afford and USE it. There are hundreds of great products on the market that are inexpensive. So whether it comes from Walgreens, Wal Mart, or Saks use it. For instance one of my go to products is Garnier Nutritioniste skin renew anti-puff roller. Its wonderful to have in the bathroom drawer, just roll it on and not a single sole will know that you hit the snooze button six times! I've had it so long I don't remember the exact price but I believe it's under $15. My new favorite mascara is maybelline "Stiletto". I've practically used every mascara on the market down through the years, and it ranks right up there with my tried and true OLD favorite Lancome "defincils". Its on sale at Walgreens now two for one, which makes each tube under $3 each, WOW. I'll still say that and I sell my own line of cosmetics. Speaking of cosmetics, I'm a firm believer that no one line offers everything you need. As a make-up artist I have dozens of lines in my case at all times and love all of them(it took me years to get here through trial and error). As for skin care your "basic" needsare as follows 1) a good cleanser; never ever use bar or liquid body soap, that's a NO NO ! 2) a moisturizer suited to your skin type 3) and most importantly SUNSCREEN, SUNSCREEN, SUNSCREEN. Can I make that any clearer? And if you can find a moisturizer with at least 15spf, that's even better, you'll only need two products instead of three. This isn't just for the women, it's for you GUYS also. Trust me, if you've never seen anybody with skin cancer on their face, google it-you'll never walk out of the house without SUNSCREEN! And if you don't use sunscreen you'll begin to resemble that vintage Louis Vitton handbag you always wanted, but you just didn't expect to be wearing it on your face. If you think that is blowing things way out of proportion take a trip down to West Palm Beach, walk around and then let me know! So the moral of this lesson is "DO SOMETHING FOR YOUR SKIN". When you look 40 and you really are 55, your insurance company will thank you for not needing to have made any insurance claims because of skin cancer! We'll talk soon, PR :-)
